Ever been to a gunshop or gunshow where there were .22 caliber cartridge belts that looked like they were made for midgets and wondered what earthly good they were? Well, they can be purchased used for five to ten bucks, and they make the niftiest slings ever for .22 rimfire rifles! Typically they hold from twenty to fifty cartridges each, are about 1 1/4" wide and nearly perfect sling length. Cut off the buckle, trim the ends to width for sling swivels, and a couple of rivets later you have a perfect .22 rifle sling! The nice thing about them is that you can have a few CB caps, Shorts, SGBs and maybe a few Stingers all instantly available, organized, and quiet in the field. Give one a try!
